jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Drug dealers hit and ran over police from the Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit named Iptu JM.
Iptu JM was seriously injured after being hit by drug dealer during a chase at a rest area in Cirebon, West Java, Sunday (21/11) at around 06.00 WIB.
Iptu JM suffered a fracture in his leg and was treated at Saint Carolus Hospital, Salemba, Central Jakarta, since Sunday (21/11), immediately undergoing surgery this Monday.
“The Central Jakarta Police have formed a joint special team from the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Narcotics Unit to pursue drug dealers who run over by members of the National Police,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Hengki Haryadi when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday.
The police are currently pursuing two suspected drug dealers, while the evidence in the form of 35 kilograms of methamphetamine worth Rp. 53 billion has been secured by the police.
“The value of the confiscated methamphetamine was around Rp. 53 billion and could save 250,000 lives,” he said.
Hengki added that the pursuit of drug dealers began with the disclosure of a robbery case that happened to a Basarnas employee until she died on October 22.
The Central Jakarta Police Narcotics Satres team is looking for a methamphetamine dealer who is suspected of frequently supplying perpetrators of violent crimes in the DKI Jakarta area. (between/jpnn)
