Islamic State claims attack on Sikh temple in Kabul | Abroad

The attackers entered the temple early in the morning, where at that time there was a religious gathering like every day. Afghan security forces have surrounded the property.

The Taliban deny anything to do with the attack. About two years ago, Islamic State fighters attacked a gathering of Sikhs in Nagarhar province. As a result, nineteen people died. The eastern province of Nagarhar is the home of ISIS terrorists who are also countered by the Taliban.

Sikhs have a tolerant creed that hails from the Punjab region which is now divided between India and Pakistan. Most Sikhs live there. Sikhs believe there is one God and emphasize the equality of people, regardless of religion.
