After years of rumors and requests to Warner Bros, which intensified in recent days, today it has become official that The mythical unpublished version of Zack Snyder for ‘Justice League’ exists and can be seen on HBO Max. This was announced by the same director during a virtual screening of his ‘Man of Steel’ movie with Henry Cavill.
The important thing about this is that it is a triumph of the fans, who have spent years asking Warner to release the version of Snyder, the famous ‘Snyder Cut’ of a movie that aimed to be darker and it ended up being a failure.

A triumph for the fans and a tribute to its director
In 2017, Zack Snyder was in charge of directing ‘Justice League,’ which loomed as an event by bringing DC heroes together for the first time in a single movie. However, Snyder had to leave the management due to the suicide of Autumn Snyder, his daughter who was only 20 years old.
The family tragedy prevented Snyder from continuing to focus on ‘Justice League’, and Joss Whedon, the director who brought together the Marvel ‘Avengers’, took over to keep the premiere for that November. Due to this, and changes by the production, changes had to be made in the original project, which included new takes and even that embarrassing ‘MustacheGate’ of Henry Cavill’s mustache.
At the end, ‘Justice League’ was a box office failure and chaos as a production, due to cuts, script changes and new scenes. All of this outraged fans, who started a movement to release the so-called ‘Synder Cut’, the original version of what it must have been like if Snyder hadn’t left the leadership of ‘Justice League’.
‘ReleaseTheSnyderCut’ became a massive battle cry from fans, an example of how fandom can take over a franchise despite all the studio’s efforts to control it. In November 2019, Gal Gadot launched the campaign by tweeting the hashtag with a grayscale frame from ‘Justice League’, and Affleck and Snyder himself followed suit, confirming to fans that the ‘Snyder Cut’ existed. . Even Jason Momoa asked that the darkest movie be released a few days ago.
Snyder himself admitted that his version of the movie existed, but the responsibility for releasing it was in the hands of Warner Bros. For years the plans to release the ‘Snyder Cut’ never came to fruition, and now it will finally be a reality. The interesting thing will be to know if it is released as a four-hour film or as a series of episodes.
There is no specific date for the premiere of ‘Synder Cut’ of ‘Justice League’ yet, but we know that will come exclusively to HBO Max in 2021, that we hope that for those dates it is already in Mexico.
