In the MTV series "Jersey Shore Family Vacation", Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino just got married, so he went to prison in New York. In fact, he is about to return to the company after eight months of detention for tax evasion.

Sorrentino, 38, is ready to be released from federal prison in Otisville, New York, on Thursday, his publicist confirmed to NJ Advance Media.

The reality TV star pleaded guilty to a count of tax evasion in January 2018 and was sentenced in October.

Sorrentino, a Manalapan High School graduate who lives in Long Branch, became famous in 2009 as a member of the Jersey Heore cast, based in Seaside Heights. With his oversized personality and his abdominal muscles (that was the "situation" in question), he drew the lion's share of the recognition of the name together with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.

A fortune of many millions of dollars followed the fame. From 2010 to 2012, Michael Sorrentino and his brother, Marc Sorrentino, earned about $ 8.9 million from club and TV appearances that Mike did along with sponsorship agreements and products that sold the strength of the star's fame Jersey Shore ", according to an indictment.

Sorrentino reported in jail in January after streaming his trip to New York. The prison is located at 123 miles, or about two hours and 20 minutes from Monmouth County home in Sorrentino county. Among his fellow prisoners were the former Trump repairer Michael Cohen and the founder of Fyre Fest Billy McFarland of Short Hills.

Marc, 40, was sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to having contributed to the preparation of false tax returns for incomes earned in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The Federal Office of Prisons records show that he should be released from prison in Fairton, Cumberland County, on September 28, 2020.

Michael Sorrentino was sentenced to prison after MTV decided to relaunch "Jersey Shore". His sentence and the question of prison time were an important point in the series' plot, which is now in its third season. The cast waited after seeing Sorrentino out at the Federal court in Newark, waiting for any news to know if Sorrentino would be sent to prison (only Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Vinny Guadagnino were sitting in the courtroom).

Shortly before starting his sentence in January, Sorrentino invited fans to write him in prison. Days later, his wife Lauren Sorrentino, said he received thousands of letters.

The cast members of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" by Sorrentino visited him in prison, but MTV cameras were not allowed inside. Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio reported on the show that Sorrentino gets his hair cut twice a week, he trains every day for two hours and "eat whatever he wants" in the Otisville prison.

In another recent episode of the show, Sorrentino called Lauren from prison and spoke with the cast.

"Let's just say that @ItsTheSituation is no longer under construction and you're ready for a surprise when it's home!" Lauren recently tweeted, using a bicep emoji in her message, published last week.

In previous pre-prison episodes of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation", Sorrentino, who now prefers the name Big Daddy Sitch, said his physical form was under construction while pursuing the ketogenic diet (which was completely embraced by Guadagnino, who it is even going out with a keto cookbook). He tried to straighten out his eating habits, but on the show, Sorrentino would order food plates and dishes when the cast was in restaurants, all with the goal of living his "best life". After all, he was headed to prison.

Lauren's tweet seems to indicate that while she was in prison, her husband's training routine may have brought him closer to his 2009 condition. After so long away from food outside, however, he could only loudly ask for a po of the cake Funfetti that he famously adores.

The Sorrentines he married in November at the legacy castle in the Pompton plains. The wedding covered more than one episode of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" and saw a group dance with Sorrentino and his best men – Guadagnino, DelVecchio and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro – with a surprise show by Rob Base ( "It Takes Two").

Later, Lauren – Sorrentino calls her "Laurens" – and Mike says they want to have children. The colleagues of the cast of Sorrentino Farley, Polizzi, Ortiz-Magro, DelVecchio and Deena Buckner (nata Cortese) are all parents.
