Jokowi Launches Salary Subsidy Program Today, See Requirements for Getting It Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo ( Jokowi) today (27/8/2020), will launch a wage / salary subsidy assistance program of IDR 600,000 per month per person, for workers earning below IDR 5 million.

“Hopefully tomorrow (today) the President has launched this program and we have prepared everything,” he said in Jakarta, Wednesday (26/8/2020).

Furthermore, said Ida, distribution salary subsidies this will be done gradually. The first phase will be distributed to 2.5 million validated and verified workers through multiple layers of data checking.

“Hopefully after this data, the first batch of data is compatible. Once launched, we will immediately transfer it,” he said.

It should be noted, the salary / wage subsidy distribution mechanism is given to workers / laborers in the amount of IDR 600,000 per month for four months or a total of IDR 2.4 million which will be given every two months.

“This means that once the disbursement, workers will receive a subsidy of Rp 1.2 million,” he said.

Salary subsidies this will eventually be channeled with a total of 15.7 million workers to be completed by September 2020.

Menaker hopefully, every week BPJamsostek (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) will submit data and account numbers for workers who receive salary subsidies of 15.7 million to the government gradually.

Then, what are the conditions for workers to receive subsidized wages / salaries from the government? Based on the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenake) Number 14 of 2020 there are 7 criteria, including:

a. Indonesian Citizen as evidenced by a National Identity Number (NIK);

b. Registered as a worker social security participant who is still active in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as evidenced by a membership card number;

c. Participants who pay contributions in the amount of contributions calculated on the basis of wages below IDR 5 million in accordance with wages reported to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan;

d. Wage recipients / workers;

e. Have an active bank account;

f. Not included in the beneficiaries of the Pre-Work Card program; and

g. Become a registered participant as an active participant in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan until June 2020.
