KATE Garraway has backtracked plans to act in Celeb this year, having doubted leaving the United Kingdom.
ITV bosses hoped to secure Good Morning Britain for a Down Under slot, but now they will have to find a substitute because "the timing is not right" for the star.
An insider told The Sun Online: "Kate no longer participates – she did not want to be out of the UK for a long time and it's not the right time for her to participate.
"She's a big fan of the show, so she does not rule her out forever – just this year!"
The Sun Online contacted the Kate representative for comment.
The Sun revealed in August that Kate – who had a huge success in Good Morning Britain – was approached for a while in the Australian jungle.
A source said at the time: "Kate has been contacted by the show producers because they know it would be the gold of TV." Kate has always been unassailable and challenging for a challenge but since she started riding she has embraced all aspects of life and sees the jungle as the ultimate test of life.
"She's also in excellent shape for the minute, so she would have no problem undressing in a bikini and flying a flag for a more mature woman."
Last year Kate admitted in an on-screen interview with the star I Celeb of the past, Martin Roberts, who "would love" to be called to appear on the show.
