Koenigsegg grows in Ängelholm – builds new factory

The sports car manufacturer Koenigsegg is building a new car factory of 11,000 square meters in connection with its current facility outside Ängelholm.

Like the company’s other properties, it is owned by PEKO Fastighets AB, which is owned in equal parts by Peab and Koenigsegg’s parent company. Construction will start in September 2021 and the facility is expected to be completed in March 2023. Peab Sweden is the turnkey contractor.

The new modern car factory will be approximately 11,000 square meters in size and includes a production hall, event areas, staff areas, offices and showrooms for new car models. In addition, Koenigsegg is making extensive investments in existing buildings and facilities to meet its expansion.

As of 31 August 2021, Peab and Koenigsegg’s parent companies own the shares in PEKO Fastighets AB in equal shares. The company owns the properties in which Koenigsegg currently conducts its existing operations in Valhall Park in Ängelholm.
