In view of the release of his new Darkness to Light memorial, the former star of the NBA Lamar Odom is opening up to cheat his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian, her debilitating cocaine addiction and his active sex life.
In the memoir, as extracted by People, Odom is a candidate for his drug addiction and almost constant business during his four-year marriage with Keeping up with the Kardashians star. He claims that the couple was born as blessed happy spouses but is persecuted by his infidelity.
"For a while, being with her was a joy and I was the happiest I've ever been," writes Odom in his book. "We were one of Hollywood's most famous couples and we earned more money than we had individually.
"I wish I could be more than a man. This (betraying her) still annoys me today. But regret is something we have to learn to live with."
As the marriage wore off, Odom's mental health began to deteriorate and he turned to drugs and women to cope. He claims that there were more than 2000 women, in fact, as Odom confessed to being a drug addict.
"I had sex with over 2000 women. There were too many strippers to count," he writes. "It wasn't a big deal, but I often paid them. I never thought of them any less."
In an interview with People, Odom said: "Sex was a trigger for me to do drugs because it doubled the (good) feeling.
"My sex addiction and my cocaine addiction go hand in hand.
"(I) finished the porn to watch! That's how you know when you're going a little overboard."
The NBA's 14-year career in Odom ended in 2013 and when his time in the league was running out, his problems intensified.
"At the beginning of our marriage I was faithful to her (Kardashian)", she writes. "I could not handle the lethal cocktail of the spotlight, the addiction, a diminishing career and infidelity.
"Oh, I mentioned paranoia, anxiety, depression … I couldn't keep my d *** in my pants or coke from my nose.
"Addicts are incredibly adept at hiding their habit. I would put myself on the defensive and Khloe would abandon him."
Kardashian set aside his divorce while on Odom's side during his health crisis following a drug overdose in October 2015. The incident in which he was found unconscious in a Brothel was almost fatal for Odom when he was left in a coma in life support, but he did a miraculous healing and knows he is lucky to be alive.
"His love for me must have been unconditional," said Odom. "This is the only thing (I think) that gave her the strength to love me again at that time."
Odom and Kardashian ended their divorce in December 2016.
