Rodríguez Larreta kept last Friday a meeting with the former Buenos Aires governor María Eugenia Vidal at the headquarters of the Buenos Aires administration on Uspallata street.
Senator Martín Lousteau and the former president of the Chamber of Deputies Emilio Monzó also participated in that meeting, who upon learning about the state of health of the former Buenos Aires governor determined to carry out a swab, which was negative.
Larreta, after obtaining the same result on Tuesday, published on his official Twitter account: “I want to tell you that the swab I performed last night was negative. I thank you for the messages of affection I received.”
Likewise, in the journalistic interview, he stated: “I am not a risk factor, but we are in meetings with other people and I can infect them if I get infected, we must be responsible.”
Asked about the permits granted to residents of the city to go out for physical activity, he remarked that “exercise is part of people’s integral health, it does the emotional and reduce diseases.”
“To maintain physical exercise and reduce the risk of contagion we are going to extend the schedule” that from this Friday will be between “19 to 9 in the morning, that is, we add two more hours.”
“We make decisions based on medical and health criteria, not only around the coronavirus but in a comprehensive way and there is not a single doctor who does not say that physical exercise is very important for the balance of health. It is one thing, due to restrictions, not to do it for a while but when the time is extended it can begin to have consequences ”, he pointed out.
Regarding the restriction of circulation in public transport, Rodríguez Larreta assured that this decision was made because “The mobility of people in the metropolitan area has been increasing and that is a cause for concern.”
“The City is stabilized in a high range” of infections per day, he pointed out and detailed that there are “between 500 and 550” new cases daily but that “the evolution of infections is only one of the data that we take into account” at the time to tighten or make the measures more flexible.
