SALT LAKE CITY – Now we are a scooter company. Lime made it easier than ever for groups to ride together.
Most Utahns are familiar with the scooters. They will be laughing.
Now, Lime has made a slight change to its operating platform to launch a new feature called “Group Ride,” which allows one to use to unlock up to five scooters with a single account so you can ride together. t all have the app or even a smartphone.
One of the scooters must be 18 years of age or older. Each person riding a scooter must also abide by the rules and accept Lime's user agreement by entering their email and clicking "agree."
Rules required by Lime and often ignored by riders includes wearing a helmet and riding in designated areas, like bike lanes.
The new Group Ride feature first rolled out in Europe and Latin America, and Lime announced Friday that it will soon launch in North America, too. In fact, some riders in Ogden and Salt Lake have already tried it out, Lime spokesperson Alex Youn said in the news release.
