According to reports, the banner was hung on Sunday evening on Jalan Raya Limusnunggal. Police officers tried to stop it yesterday afternoon – in accordance with regulations prohibiting any banner, sign or other form of celebration for both candidates to win before the official final vote count was presented by the General Electoral Commission ( KPU) – but, as can be seen in the videos, their efforts have met with fierce resistance from Prabowo supporters.

The police continued to strive to persuade the crowd to let them do their work, but Prabowo supporters from other areas would start arriving on the scene until the police gave up for the day.

Reports indicate that some Prabowo supporters continued to protect the banner today. Kompol Asep, chief of police in Cileungsi, said Detik today the matter is now handled by the Bogor Regency police.

An official of the Election Supervision Commission (Baswaslu) also stated that they were examining the issue.

Prabowo himself urged his supporters to remain calm and not participate in any "anarchist" action after declaring himself the winner of the elections for the first time on April 17th.

The KPU is required to complete the vote count on 22 May or earlier. Prabowo and his campaign urged their followers If all the projections prove true and Prabowo should lose, he could choose to challenge the results to the Constitutional Court, as he did without success in 2014 the first time he lost to Jokowi. If it still loses, it cannot be said how its supporters, like those of the videos above, can react.
