The pictures were taken by photographer Thibaut Daliphard for the tabloid magazine Voici in 2020, when Macron was on holiday on the Côte d’Azur. One now has a 43-year-old president in a swimsuit in the presence of his wife, Brigitte, and the other rides a jet ski.
🇫🇷 The Macron couple filed a complaint for breach of privacy against the photographer Thibaut Daliphard, reveals Europe 1. The photo with the jet ski was used at the current exhibition on French presidents in one of the galleries in Paris. According to Daliphard, the Elysee Palace contacted the gallery and asked that the photo be “removed immediately”.
“The photo on the jet ski shows a young, dynamic president almost in Kennedy style, so I don’t see anything negative in the picture,” the photographer told AFP, referring to US ex-president John F. Kennedy.
To avoid looking at his privacy, Macron had an indoor pool built at his government residence in Fort Brégançon on the Côte d’Azur. However, he himself admitted that he preferred to swim in the sea.
