Complete computers are not for everyone. Some people prefer to make things themselves on principle, disagree with the asking price or the built-in OEM components. With the Medion Erazer Hunter X10, discounter Aldi is now supplying a high-end gaming PC with quite potent components. An Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Super from Zotac and Intel’s Core i9-9900K with an open multiplier, eight clocked cores and 16 threads are waving for 2,599 euros.
Medion cools the main processor via AiO water cooling of the Alphacool Eisbär 120 type in combination with an in-win Polaris fan. The case also comes from In Win: In the case of the Erazer Hunter X10, model 101 has illuminated lettering on the front, illuminated fans and a generously dimensioned side window.
In terms of memory, buyers get 32 GiB DDR4 RAM with 3,200 MHz (effective) from Patriot, which comes with RGB lighting to match the case. A 1 TB PCIe SSD and a 4 TB hard drive are available for data. The mainboard is the MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge.
A Seasonic Focus GX-750 takes over the energy supply of the gaming computer. It is worth noting that this is a modular power supply with 80 Plus Gold certification. On the connection side, Medion offers USB 3.1 Gen2 (type A and C), one HDMI and three display ports. Windows 10 Home is used as the operating system.

The Erazer Engineer X10 is significantly cheaper, but slimmed down accordingly for 1,199 euros. Medion brings together an Intel Core i5-9400 (6 cores / 6 threads) with an MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Aero 8G. An MSI MAG Z390M Mortar serves as the mainboard – an SSD with 512 GB and a 1 large TB HDD are available for data.
With 16 GiB DDR4-RAM (2,666 MHz effective), the RAM is only half as big as the Erazer Hunter X10. The Seasonic SSR-550FX also comes with another power supply. The case remains with the In Win brand, but Medion has opted for an In Win 301 for the Erazer Engineer X10. Windows 10 Home again serves as the operating system.
Erazer P15609 as a laptop for 800 euros
The last computer in the group is the Erazer P15609. It is a 15.6 inch notebook with an Intel Core i5-9300H; a four-core with eight threads and a clock of 2.4 to 4.1 GHz. There are also 8 GiB DDR4 RAM, a 256 GB SSD and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. The notebook is also equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and IPS technology, with the display resolving in Full HD. Aldi calls 799 euros for the laptop – Windows 10 Home included.
