Medvedev announced the break-in of the US government's change model
The United States "pokes its nose" in the affairs of Latin America, managing the principles of conducting illegal coups and a change of government in the region's countries. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during a speech at the University of Havana, reports RBC.
According to him, in Latin America, the United States "acts not only with the help of" soft forces ", as is customary in international affairs," but they also provide material assistance to "destabilize the system".
"In reality, they demand a change of government on the front line, blocking their noses in any situation and decision of the countries, allocating money to destabilize the political system and sometimes only for direct intervention," he said.
Medvedev also noted that "there can be only one president in Venezuela", elected by the citizens in accordance with the Constitution of the republic. "Today is Nicolas Maduro," the prime minister added.
At the end of September, Washington extended sanctions against Venezuelan oil companies and four ships carrying petroleum products. The restrictions concerned PDVSA, the central bank of the country, a number of forces of order, as well as Maduro's relatives.
