Mejri and Roll’s tandem allowed Tunisia to defend the title

Tunisia national team in the final of the African Championship 78:75 (25:18, 22:16, 18:25, 13:16) defeated Ivory Coast basketball players and defended the title they won four years ago.

For Elephants, this is the best achievement since 2009, when they also won silver medals at the continental championships.

For the winners, Salah Mejri scored 22 points (6 rebounds, 27 assists), Michael Rolls 18 (7/17 throws, 9 res.), Omar Abada added 10.

Souleyman Diabate scored 20 points (6/16 shots), Jean-Francois Kebe – 10, Wafess Fofana, Matt Costello (8 rebounds) and Guy Landry Edi scored 9 points each.
