The hatches were opened a few hours ago. And from the anchored ship "Soyuz MS-11" a new crew moved to the station. Our orbit by Oleg Kononenko, Anne McClain and the Canadian David Saint-Jacques, have been reached in orbit by colleagues who have been there since June. One of them – the astronaut Alexander Gerst – has captured the exit of the "Union" in space through the porthole.
As reported in the MCC, the flight to the ISS has been easy and the new members of the expedition feel good. Next: over six months of hard work, including 48 scientific experiments.
The next manned launch is scheduled for March 1, 2019. The astronaut Alexei Ovchinin and the astronaut Nick Haig, those who were on board the Soyuz-10 in October, were sent into orbit, as confirmed by Roskosmos, but they were forced to return to earth in a relief capsule in October. The third member of the crew will be an American Christina Cook.
