Mete Gazoz and Yasemin Ecem Anagöz came fourth

National archers Mete Gazoz and Yasemin Ecem Anagöz lost 6-2 against Mexico in the bronze medal match in the mixed team category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Mete and Yasemin Ecem competed in the bronze medal match against Mexico consisting of Alejandra Valencia and Luis Alvarez in the mixed team competitions held at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.

The national team, who scored low in the first set, lost the set 36-34 and fell back 2-0 in the match. Mete-Yasemin duo, who had a great advantage with Alvarez scoring 2 points in the second set, balanced the score by winning the set 36-27.

Mexico, who shot very well in the third set, took the set 39-36 and increased the gap to 2 points again. Starting the fourth set well, Yasemin Ecem got 5 points in her second shot. When Mexico did not make a mistake in the next 2 shots, the national team lost the set 34-33 and the match 6-2.

Mete Gazoz and Yasemin Ecem Anagöz finished Tokyo 2020 4th in mixed team.
