Meteorologists warned the Muscovites of the "baric saw"
Next week, Muscovites expect strong fluctuations in atmospheric pressure and the first snow could fall, meteorologists said
Moscow residents, the capital region and St. Petersburg should experience strong fluctuations in atmospheric pressure next week, the first "purely symbolic snowball" could fall, as near zero temperatures are possible. An important specialist from the "Phobos" Evgeny Tishkovets meteorological center told RBC.
"A baric" saw "will take place in Moscow – strong fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, which can have a very negative effect on the well-being of climate-dependent people," he said.
According to him, if Sunday, September 15, barometer readings will be normal and amount to 745 mm RT. Art., So from Monday to Wednesday they will drop to 733 mm RT. Art. Atmospheric pressure is normalizing for the weekend, he promised.
Tishkovets noted that a large North Atlantic cyclone will arrive in most of European Russia, "hordes of rain clouds and new portions of colder air of Arctic origin will arrive every day in the back of it". Consequently, the temperature background will be 5 degrees lower than the climatic norm. And because of the wind and humidity, the temperature of the air will seem 4 degrees lower than the actual indicators.
So, for example, if on Monday 16 September, in the afternoon in Moscow, it is still + 10 … + 15 °, then by Friday 20 September, at night, the bars of the thermometer are approaching zero. On the outskirts, in some points to the north and east, frosts are expected to reach -2 °, in the afternoon at + 11 °.
