“The Lithuanian representation in Sakartvele and Ambassador A. Kalindra are constantly in contact with the relatives of the deceased and provide all necessary assistance. A. Kalindra has also contacted the law enforcement authorities of Sakartvelo, which are investigating the incident and clarifying the circumstances,” spokeswoman for the Minister of Foreign Affairs Paulina Levickytė told Elta.

ELTA reminds that a 13-year-old Lithuanian citizen was found murdered on Thursday in Tbilisi, the capital of Sakartveli. This was reported by the “Delfi” portal.

Sakartveli’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is said to have informed on Friday that an investigation has been launched into the body of a minor girl found dead in Tbilisi. The girl’s body was discovered after she went missing on Thursday.

It is reported that the investigation is being carried out under the article “aggravated intentional murder”, the body of the minor has been sent for an autopsy.

According to preliminary data, the 13-year-old girl was strangled. The suspect has not yet been found, police officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
