Third was Nyck de Vries (ART). With the seventh podium this season, the Dutch extended his lead in the championship standings to Nicholas Latifi (DMAS), who finished fifth behind the driver Callum Ilott (Charouz) on Sunday, 31 points.

Mick Schumacher (Prema) drove with the fierce idea of starting eleventh in sixth place. Nobuharu Matsushita (Carlin) and Guanyu Zhou (Virtuosi) completed the top 8, scoring points in the sprint race.

It seemed a long time Sunday after the first win in Formula 2 of Deletraz. The Swiss won the race from second place and led the race for 16 of the 21 laps. In the end, but apparently he broke his tires. On lap 17 Aitken attacked, overtook his rival and was able to settle.

In the hunting camp, Schumacher provided thrilling duels with Zhou and Latifi, but also with two wild laps at the exit of the Stowe fast corner. Once again, the son of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher performed better in the sprint race than on Saturday and closed the points for the fifth time this season.

The race was unlucky for third-placed Luca Ghiotto (Virtuosi), who won the main race on Saturday. Being in the points, he had to arrive just before the end of the race due to a puncture in the pits and at the end he arrived only at the finish line.

The 15th and 16th races of the 2019 Formula 2 season will take place on August 3rd and 4th as part of the Hungarian Grand Prix on the Hungaroring near Budapest.
