“Mikati is taking a positive step…”

Member of the Independent Center Bloc, MP Ali Darwish, indicated that “the formation of a government has broken the deadlock, and President Najib Mikati is taking a positive step towards getting out of the tunnel.”

In an interview with Al-Modon, Darwish said, “The government faces huge challenges, and Lebanon, especially Tripoli and Akkar, is in dire need of attracting foreign projects.”

He pointed out that “the new government will not overlook projects for the city of Tripoli, such as those related to the port and the Rashid Karami International Fair, and it seeks to attract international institutions to invest in the city’s oil refinery.”
