Ministerial decision published: these corona measures will…

From next Friday October 1, with the exception of children up to and including 12 years old, wearing the mouth mask is only mandatory:

• in closed areas of public transport and organized collective transport.

• for the service provider and the customer in establishments and places where contact professions are practiced. This is when they have direct physical contact or when the distance of 1.5 meters cannot be guaranteed for a duration of at least 15 minutes.

• for the employees, the organizers and the public at events, cultural and other performances, sporting competitions and training sessions, and congresses insofar as these are organized indoors, without application of the Covid Safe Ticket and with an audience of 500 or more people.

Where social distancing cannot be observed, wearing a mouth mask is strongly recommended for people aged 13 and over.

Discotheques and dance halls

Discos and dance halls can resume their activities on October 1. Access to these establishments must in all cases be organized using the Covid Safe Ticket.

Events with less than 500 people inside and with fewer than 750 people outside can take place without restrictions on mouth masks, social distancing and catering.

From 1 October, federal states and local authorities have the option to make the use of the Covid Safe Ticket mandatory for access to publicly accessible events.

Mass Events

The organizers of events with an audience of at least 500 people inside and at least 750 people outside will be able to use the Covid Safe Ticket from 1 October.

Private meetings

At private meetings, a maximum of 500 people may be present inside and 750 people outside.

Air quality

An air quality meter must still be present in the food and beverage facilities of the catering sector, the establishments of the sports sector (such as fitness centers) and the events sector.

The air quality standard for the various sectors is still 900 ppm CO2. When this value is exceeded, the operator must have an action plan drawn up on the basis of a risk analysis.

A transition period of at least three months is provided for this.

To travel

The Consultation Committee of 17 September 2021 has decided to only offer the Passenger Location Form (PLF) electronically from 1 October 2021 (and to cancel the option to fill in and send the PLF on paper).
