JAKARTA – Recruitment for 2023 State Civil Apparatus Candidates (CASN) is being prepared in line with the CASN selection process for the fiscal year 2022 will be completed, considering that this process is still ongoing.
Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas, in Jakarta, Monday (30/01), said that this year, CASN recruitment includes selective and limited selection of Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) as well as Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK).
“This year’s selection will also be open to the public, not only from the official school route,” said Anas.
Regarding formation, Anas continued, the government is still focused on meeting the needs of health and education workers. “However, the government also gives priority to digital talent as a form of digitalization transformation which is currently being carried out within the framework of the Electronic Based Government System (SPBE) architecture. The formation will also be opened by judges, prosecutors, lecturers, and certain other technical staff,” explained the former head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP).
Anas explained that currently government agencies are in the process of preparing the formation proposal. “Now everything is in the process of preparing to propose formations from a number of government agencies,” he added.
CASN 2023 recruitment, continued Anas, also takes into account a number of certain variables, such as indicators of the number of retired civil servants and the fulfillment of human resources to support national strategic programs, including geographical location and budget capabilities. Minister Anas asked government agencies to start collecting data and proposing the priority needs for ASN in 2023 to be filled immediately in their respective agencies.
After the proposed needs of each agency, the next step is determining the needs. The formation is determined by taking into account the opinion of the Minister of Finance and BKN technical considerations.
He added, there are four policy directions for ASN procurement in 2023. The first policy direction is to focus on basic services. Second, the policy provides opportunities for digital talent recruitment. Third, recruit CASN selectively. Fourth, reducing the recruitment of positions that will be affected by digital transformation. Currently, the government is still analyzing which positions can be affected by digital developments. “Because the digital world changes rapidly, the government must adapt quickly,” said Minister Anas.
