New restricted areas: In the capital, the health areas affected since midnight on Sunday are García Noblejas (Ciudad Lineal), Vicálvaro-Artilleros (Vicálvaro), Orcasitas (Usera), Campo de la Paloma and Rafael Alberti (Puente de Vallecas). In the rest of the community, the areas of Panaderas (Fuenlabrada) and Miguel Servet and Doctor Trueta (Alcorcón) are added. These new eight restricted areas add 167,000 inhabitants to the 850,000 already affected by the measures, for which there are a total of 1,025,574 residents. It represents 15.4% of Madrilenians, but accumulated 13,516 coronavirus infections in the last 14 days, 27.2% of all those diagnosed in the region.

Mobility. It is allowed to circulate on the streets that cross these areas but always the origin and destination is outside these.

Hours and capacity. All establishments, commercial premises, hotels, restaurants and services may not exceed 50% of the allowed capacity and will have a closing time of 10:00 p.m., with the exception of pharmaceutical, medical, veterinary, automotive fuel establishments and others considered essential. . In places of worship, attendance may not exceed one third of the capacity. And the sport can be performed in sports facilities without exceeding 50% of its capacity. In groups, it is limited to a maximum of six people. Activity is temporarily suspended in public parks and gardens as well as in playgrounds.

The fines, already underway. In the first days, the security forces did not fine the noncompliants, since the Community of Madrid was awaiting a judicial ruling. But on Friday, the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid endorsed the restrictions, which gave the green light to sanctions, which range from 600 to 600,000 euros. There are 222 national police and civil guards deployed in the region, especially in the capital, to control movements and may request citizens to prove the reason for their entry or exit from the red zones. In the streets you will not see the military instead, as the Community has only demanded the intervention of the Military Emergency Unit for logistical support, installing tents for testing, or to disinfect public places. The regional government has published a model of proof for labor issues which can also be adapted to other situations such as caring for the elderly or dependents.

Measures in force throughout the community. There is only one measure that applies to the entire population: the maximum number of people that can meet is six, both in public and private spaces, except in the workplace or institutional and if they are living together.
