Model 3 is Norway’s best-selling car

The Road Traffic Information Council, OFV, reveals that the Tesla Model 3 is the most popular car in Norway so far this year.

The increase in sales has undoubtedly been helped by increased production rate.

Tesla has of course intercepted the positive news, and reports in the press release that “Tesla will grow strongly in Norway in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same period in 2020.”

Model 3 is again Norway’s best-selling car, both in March and throughout 2021 so far. At the same time, Tesla will grow strongly in Norway in the first quarter of 2021 compared with the same period in 2020. This shows the recent official registration figures from OFV.

Teslastats.no follows the registration of new Teslas, and can reveal that the record is 5315 registered Model 3 in March 2019, with the vast majority registered on March 26 the same year: 551 cars got an owner this day.

In December 2020, Tesla sniffed at the record from March 2019, while March 2021 has around half as many registered Model 3 as the same month 2019.

Tesla has an agreement with DNB

Tesla points out that they offer an interest rate of 0.25 percent if you finance Model 3 via DNB (a program that started in October last year) – this may have helped sales a lot.

It is with great pleasure that we see that more electric cars from other brands have entered the market, so that customers can try the alternatives. Therefore, we see a clear increase in how many people now choose Tesla.
