Montreal: a man in his twenties stabbed in a grocery store

A man in his twenties was stabbed in the upper body on Saturday night during an altercation that took place in a grocery store in downtown Montreal.

The assault occurred around 7 p.m. in a business located on avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal, near rue de la Montagne, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). Raphaël Bergeron.


The victim was assaulted with a knife during a confrontation with two suspects, men who are also in their 20s. She was taken to a hospital and is being kept under observation, even though there was no fear for her life.


The injured man would collaborate very little with the authorities, it was also specified.

The two suspects fled on foot and are wanted by the police.
