Deaths from COVID-19 soar in Cartagena. This Thursday, January 21, 2021, the Ministry of Health confirmed nine deaths and 354 new infections due to the virus in the city.

The people who lost the battle against the virus were a 66-year-old man with study comorbidities, a 54-year-old man with study comorbidities, a 65-year-old man with cardiovascular disease, and a 90-year-old man with cardiovascular disease.

Also a 51-year-old woman with study comorbidities, a 66-year-old man with hypertension, a 75-year-old woman with hypertension and diabetes, a 66-year-old woman with study comorbidities and an 85-year-old woman with diabetes.


In the department, 63 new infections were reported, bringing the total cases of COVID-19 to 9,261.

Two people died from the coronavirus were also reported, with 324 deaths from the virus.
