Mutua increases its profit by 2.8% in the first semester, up to 257.8 million euros

Mutual Group has obtained a consolidated profit after tax of €257.8 million in the first half of the year, which represents 2.8% more than in the same period of 2022, as reported by the insurer through a statement.

During the first six months of this year, he earned about total premium income of 3,985.3 million eurosincluding its international business, which represents an increase of 11.1% compared to the first half of 2022.

In the case of spaintotal premium income, including life and non-life, amounted to 3,563.2 million euros between January and June, which represents a growth of 11.2% more than in the first half of 2022. If only one takes into account Non-life insurance premium income, the group’s main area of ​​activity, rose 9% in the first half, to 3,365 million euros.

The company defends that the data for the first semester consolidates it as the first insurance group in the Spanish non-life market, the first in the health business, the second in the car business and the third in total insurance, including life and non-life.

“The revenue figure for the first semester reflects the good performance of all the insurance branches in which the company is present, with special relevance in auto and health, which has led to the Mutual Group to register a better performance than the sector average in its main business areas”, affirms the insurer.
