Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook has moved to the Los Angeles Lakers and his two stars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, after an agreement between the two NBA clubs, American media reported Thursday.
ESPN, USA Today and The Athletic reported that the 32-year-old playmaker has been swapped with three players, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezel Harrell and Kentavius Caldwell-Pop, in addition to the 22nd selection in the “Draft”. Allocated for recruiting players from universities and foreigners Thursday, while the Wizards abandoned his choice in the second round of the draft in 2024 and 2028.
Westbrook, born in suburban Los Angeles, averaged 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 11.7 assists per game for the Wizards last season.
Westbrook, crowned with his country’s Olympic gold in London 2012, was chosen as the best player in the league in 2017 in the colors of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he played the All-Star Game nine times.

Westbrook played 11 consecutive seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2008 to 2019, before moving to the Houston Rockets for the 2019-20 season and from there to the Wizards in December and contributed to reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
