New Orleans Pelicans Preview
For much of December, the New Orleans pelicans have given a lot of darkness, but the team has put together an unlikely streak in four games to end the year, and Zion Williamson is finally about to get back in shape after missed the first 10 weeks of the season due to injury.
While players like JJ Redick and Jrue Holiday have been linked to trade, the pelicans are only four games behind from a playoff point and reaching the post season remains possible if the team can quickly start around 2020.
Key player – Brandon Ingram
While Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart fought to make an impact in New Orleans, Brandon Ingram has excelled.
The 22-year-old returns to the Staples Center with an average of 25.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game – and will be eager to prove to his old team that they made a mistake by swapping it.

Los Angeles Lakers preview
The Los Angeles Lakers enjoyed their best quarter of the season on Wednesday evening as they led the Phoenix Suns 43-17 after the first 12 minutes. Nonetheless, despite the 36-point lead, the Lakers were forced to hold back a late return from Phoenix before exiting with a 117-107 win to improve to 27-7 for the season.
Although he almost lost a huge lead, there were some positives for LA as Avery Bradley enjoyed his best performance in a Laker shirt, while Kyle Kuzma added 19 points off the bench.
The Lakers also enter the matchup against the pelicans who have lost only three times at the Staples Center since prime time.
Key player – Anthony Davis
Davis will take on his former team for the second team since his release last summer. The forward lost 41 points on his return to New Orleans in November, and the Chicago native comes into play with an average of 27.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
