Director General of EBTKE at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dadan Kusdiana, said the new provision was an improvement from the previous regulation as an effort to improve the governance and economy of Rooftop Solar Power Plants.
This regulation is also a step to respond to the existing dynamics and facilitate people’s desire to obtain electricity from renewable energy sources, as well as their desire to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
“The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 26 of 2021 concerning Rooftop Solar Power Plants can be implemented and has been supported by all stakeholders according to the results of a coordination meeting chaired by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy on January 18, 2022,” said Dadan, in his statement, quoted on Saturday (22/1/2020). 2022).
The ESDM Ministerial Regulation contains a number of basic substances, the most important of which is an increase in the provisions on the export of rooftop PLTS electricity to PT PLN (Persero).
Through the new regulation, the export provisions for electricity kWh produced by PLTS roof users are increased from 65 percent to 100 percent.
The export of electricity will be used for calculating the electrical energy of rooftop PLTS customers and can reduce the customer’s monthly electricity bill to PLN.
Then, the excess accumulated difference in bills is zeroed out, extended from 3 months to 6 months.
Then, the application period for Rooftop PLTS is shorter, namely 5 days without an adjustment to the Electricity Purchase Agreement (PJBL) and 12 days with an adjustment to the PJBL.
Furthermore, the Ministerial Regulation regulates an application-based service mechanism to facilitate the submission of applications, reporting, and supervision of the Rooftop PLTS program.
