Football World Champion USA:
That's how New York celebrates the champions

In New York yesterday, the US women footballers were received, who had won the title at the World Cup in France. The players drove a moving van through the streets of Manhattan, team captain Rapinoe gave a speech in which she called for more tolerance and less hatred.

Rapinoe was not only honored as the tournament's top scorer and best player at the World Cup, the 34-year-old also took the stage to formulate her criticisms of social conditions, gender inequality and the US government. Among other things, Rapinoe had announced in the event of a World Cup triumph to want to stay away from the White House and President Trump.

The posters have since been removed, confirmed a spokesman for the New York subways. “Hass has no place in public transport,” he said, announcing that he would replace the destroyed posters.
