Saturday and Sunday they provide care at UMF No. 75 in Morelia.
The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reported that the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) No. 75, in Morelia, offers consultation services during Saturday and Sunday, since last weekend.
The director of the clinic, Sergio Martínez Jiménez, announced that for this purpose, five offices were opened at both times, morning and afternoon shifts, which provide First Level Service, similar to that offered from Monday to Friday.
To process their appointment, the beneficiary must request it during the week in the corresponding office, or, go as spontaneous during the weekend, while the total number of patients permanently assigned is assigned to each office.
He pointed out that the implementation of this service accumulated during Saturday and Sunday, is with the aim of attending to the IMSS affiliated workers and their beneficiaries, who for work reasons cannot attend consultation during the week.
In addition to the family medicine consultation service, the nursing, stomatology, nutrition and pharmacy modules also operate.
Martínez Jiménez said that UMF No. 75, located in the Camelinas Infonavit neighborhood, is the only one that so far offers this service in Michoacán, that is, as a pilot clinic.
The population assigned to this unit is 236 thousand beneficiaries and has 21 family medicine offices in the morning and evening shifts.
