ONDA: 16 ICA Airport Health Accreditation certified airports

A total of 16 airports in Morocco have received “Airport Health” accreditation from the International Airports Council (ACI), according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

These are Casablanca / Mohammed V, Marrakech / Ménara, Agadir / Al Massira, Rabat / Salé, Oujda / Angads, Fès / Saïs, Tanger / Ibn Batouta, Ouarzazate, Nador / El Aroui, Essaouira / Mogador, Al Hoceima / Chérif El Idrissi, Errachidia / Moulay Ali Chérif, Tétouan / Saniat R’mel, Dakhla, Laâyoune / Hassan 1er, Tan-Tan / Plage Blanche, specifies the Office in a report of commercial air traffic for the period from June 15 to August 31, 2021.

“This recognition confirms that Morocco’s airports take all the necessary precautions to limit any health risk, in accordance with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the” guidelines “of the International Airports Council (ACI)” , emphasizes the Office.

In addition, ONDA recalls that in preparation for the resumption of international flights which was authorized by the Moroccan authorities from June 15, 2021, and to support Operation Marhaba, supervised by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity , it has set up, in collaboration with its airport partners, an important system to welcome travelers to healthy and safe airports, so that they can once again travel without worry.

“Throughout the passengers’ journey, measures have been put in place to reassure them,” says the same source, citing in particular the marking on the ground to observe physical distancing, the dispensers of disinfectant gel, the obligation to wear the mask, awareness of respect for barrier gestures through display and sound announcements.

Note that Morocco’s airports recorded, during the period from June 15 to August 31, 2021, an international commercial traffic volume of 3,560,526 passengers, accommodated through 31,202 international flights, i.e. a recovery rate compared to the same. period of the year 2019, 65% for passengers and 77% for movements.
