One of the largest international designer drug trafficking networks has been left dismantled in a joint operation between the National Police and the French security forces.
The organization had warehouses that supplied ecstasy, speed, ketamine and other substances north of spainincluding the Basque Countryto the island of Ibiza and south of France.
The operation, called Butterfly-1, has been resolved with the arrest of 13 personas and the intervention of 150,000 ecstasy pills, 135 kilos of speed, 25 kilos of ketamine, four kilos of pink cocaine and more than 10,000 liters of drug percussors, through 11 records carried out in the provinces of Barcelona, Burgos, Cantabria and Madrid.
The investigation has been coordinated by the Investigating Court number 1 of Alcala de Henaresa town in Madrid where a speed oil processing laboratory has been dismantled.
This complex facility was run by one of those arrested, known as “the Chemist”who also controlled, along with his mother, another laboratory for the production and distribution of anabolic drugs, this one located in Barcelona.
