OPRAH Winfrey praised her friend Meghan Markle during an appearance on the American television show CBS This Morning.
The world-famous presenter, who is collaborating with Prince Harry in a documentary on mental health, described the regal pregnant woman as "warm and loving" on Wednesday's show.
Speaking to host Gayle King, Oprah said: "(She) is not just all that we perceive that she is – graceful and dynamic in maintaining that position – but she has only a wonderful, warm, loving heart.
"I see all the crazy press around her and I think it's really unfair."
Gayle, who is also close to Meghan who attended his recent baby shower in New York, was also eager to defend the Duchess.
By accepting he said of his "bad press": "He is very kind. But he doesn't seem to buy".
Oprah replies: "Actually she does not read anything, which I find remarkable, despite all that is happening, she does not read anything."
It is announced that Prince Harry will collaborate with the ex-talk show for a series of documentaries on mental health for Apple, Kensington Palace revealed.
The Duke of Sussex will be present in the series, which will focus on the importance of mental well-being and will inspire viewers to have honest conversations about their daily challenges.
Based on the 34-year-old's long-standing work with mental health initiatives, the documentary will allow the prince to share his personal experience again, acting as a supporter of those sufferings.
Previously, the future dad, Harry, admitted that he was "very close to complete exhaustion on numerous occasions" during his childhood, when he faced his mother Diana's death.
So the royal appears to be the perfect choice to be the co-creator and co-producer of Apple's latest project, which seeks to enhance those "silent sufferings" with depression and mental health conditions.
Oprah was a guest at the royal wedding last May when Harry married 37-year-old Meghan Markle, and she thinks she and the prince have been negotiating ideas for the television piece for many months.
Harry said of the documentary: "I truly believe that good mental health – the mental fitness – is the key to powerful leadership, productive communities and a purpose-oriented self.
"It is a huge responsibility to get this right as we bring you the facts, the science and the awareness of a topic that is so relevant in these times.
"Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive – sharing global stories of incomparable human spirit fighting from the darkest places, and the opportunity for us to better understand ourselves and those around us.
"I am incredibly proud to work with Oprah in this vital series that we have been developing together for several months."
There are plans for Harry to screen "on camera", although it is still to be revealed if he will be interviewed by the TV producer Oprah.
"Our hope is that it will have an impact on stigma reduction and will allow people to know that they are not alone," he said of his goals for the CBS series This Morning.
Harry, along with William, 36, and Kate, 37, launched the Heads Together charity in 2016 to help people in the UK and the Commonwealth access support.
And the real young people have already expressed their plans to use digital technology to "mark" the support available to people in crisis and improve mental health education.
This "multi-part" TV series appeared as the perfect occasion for the Duke of Sussex – and is currently scheduled for broadcast in 2020 on Apple TV.
