France and dozens of other states will celebrate Sunday the centenary of the armistice of 11 November 1918. But the ceremony scheduled that day at the Arc de Triomphe will be followed by another event: the inauguration of the Paris Forum in peace. For three days, under the Great Halle de la Villette, different actors of international relations will face their strategies to reverse crises in the world.
Political leaders, activists, academics, entrepreneurs, representatives of international organizations … today a wide range of skills is needed to provide concrete solutions to the most obvious problems. This Forum will also be an opportunity to defend multilateralism and to propose changes in global governance.
Paris therefore proposed itself as the capital of peace, a hundred years after hosting and hosting the delegations that negotiated the post-war treaties. This time, it is not a matter of redesigning Europe but of repairing an international system challenged by leaders who prefer "everyone for themselves".
