MEXICO CITY (APR) .- The President Enrique Peña Nieto will travel to Guatemala to attend the 26th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government to be held in Antigua on November 15th and 16th.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the trip has already been notified to the Senate of the Republic.
The official delegation accompanying the executive will be integrated by Chancellor Luis Videgaray; Secretary of Economics, Ildefonso Guajardo, and the Ambassador of Mexico to Guatemala, Luis Manuel López, among other officials.
According to the SRE, the Summit will seek to advance in achieving the sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda, adopted by over 150 heads of state in September 2015.
In addition to participating in the Summit's working sessions, President Peña Nieto will speak at the meeting of heads of state and government of the Twelfth Ibero-American Business Meeting.
