The country risk of Peru closed today’s session at 1.46 percentage points, adjusted after the close, down six basis points from the previous session, according to the EMBI+ Peru calculated by investment bank JP Morgan.

Peru (1.46 percentage points) reported the lowest country risk in the region, followed by Mexico (2.17 points) and Colombia (3.50 points).

The EMBI+ Peru is measured based on the difference in the average yield of Peruvian sovereign securities compared to the yield of the US Treasury bond.

Thus, the political risk and the possibility that a country may default on its payment obligations to international creditors are estimated.
