Peugeot electric car will fall in price by 20% if customers find it expensive

In an interview with the Driving Electric portal, Ann-Liz Richards explained that currently customers do not consider the e-208 to be too expensive, but at some point a French company may need to bring to the market a more affordable option with less power reserve.

Peugeot brand car manager emphasized that expanding the e-208 range with a cheaper version makes sense only if there is sufficient demand for the base modification. Although it is easy to reduce battery capacity from a technical point of view, the production of electric cars with various characteristics increases production costs. Anne-Liz Richards noted that over time, consumers will get used to electric cars and will not worry because of the less power reserve.
