Ostapenko is currently in the 22nd position in the WTA singles ranking, but in the doubles ranking she occupies the 9th position, while her Latvian partner Ludmila Kichenoka is two places higher.

Last week, in the third round of the Indian Wells “WTA 1000” tournament, Ostapenko, struggling with health problems, lost to the Czech Petra Kvitova.
