Like a clock, the next Pokemon Go Community Day is almost here. The monthly event returns once again this Saturday, November 10, offering players from around the world limited time to capture rare Pokemon, earn generous bonuses and even trap a monster with a special move that they would normally not be able to learn .
Generally, every Community Day lasts only three hours, but the details of these events vary from month to month. To help you prepare, we gathered the most important details on the November 201 Community Day, including the time spent in each region, which bonuses are available and which Pokémon you can capture this time.
What is the Pokemon in the foreground?
Niantic designates a Pokemon in the foreground for each community day, which is generated much more frequently in nature than normal for the duration of the event. This time, that Pokemon will be Cyndaquil, one of the three starters introduced in the Gen 2 games of the series, Pokemon Gold and Silver. That means you'll have a lot easier time to find and capture Cyndaquil during Community Day and, if you're lucky, you can even meet a Shiny Cyndaquil or two before the event ends.
We recommend that you capture as many Cyndaquil as you can during this month's Community Day so you can stock up on Cyndaquil Candy, which will help you evolve into Quilava and Typhlosion. If you can do this until one hour after the end of the event, your Typhlosion will know Blast Burn, a powerful Fire-type attack that you generally can not learn in Pokemon Go. This applies to any Quilava you develop during Community Day, even for those you got before the start of the event.
What time does it start?
Except for a small handful of exceptions, every Community Day takes place only for three hours. Unlike other real-world events like Pokemon Go Fest, this also does not take place in a particular place, which means you can join Community Day from anywhere as long as you play during designated times.
The Community Day will take place all over the world, even if its exact calendar will vary by region. These hours are usually consistent every month, so if you've participated in previous Community Days, you'll already know when it's available. If you are attending the event for the first time or simply need an update on your schedule, you can find the hours for each region below.
- 11 AM – 2 PM PT
- 2 PM – 5 PM ET
Europe, Middle East and Africa
What other bonuses are there?
In addition to increasing the spawn of a particular Pokemon, Niantic generally offers two bonuses for players during each Community Day. This time, you'll receive twice the normal amount of Stardust to capture Pokemon and hatch the eggs. This applies to any Pokemon captured during the event, not just Cyndaquil. In addition, these bonuses overlap with those available during the ongoing Stardust Blast event, which means you'll be able to earn four times the amount of Stardust you normally use.
