Co-favorite Primoz Roglic has the first mountain finish of the 107. Tour de France won. The Slovenian won on Tuesday after 160.5 kilometers from Sisteron to Orcières-Merlette, ahead of his compatriot Tadej Pogacar. Germany’s hopeful Emanuel Buchmann reached the finish at the 1,825 meter high ski station a few seconds behind the former ski jumper Roglic.
The Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe successfully defended his lead in the overall standings. This means that the superstar will wear the yellow jersey for the 17th time in his career on Wednesday. On the fifth stage, the sprinters are in demand again. Over 183 kilometers from Gap to Privas there are only two mountains of the fourth category.
