Before the matchday, the whole of England hoped for a little more excitement in the Premier League. But although Liverpool had the toughest opponent with Manchester United, Jürgen Klopp’s (52) squad extended their lead.

Klopp after the final whistle at Sky Sports: “We were brilliant. We determined the game, especially in the first half. The energy we put on the pitch was incredible. ”

Liverpool laughs at the league! The goals for the 2-0 victory were made by van Dijk after a corner (14th) and Salah (90th + 3th).

The pursuers, however, failed!

Man City played 2-2 against Crystal Palace. “We did everything we could,” said city coach Pep Guardiola. “We tried and tried.” The third-placed Leicester comes only 1: 2 in Burnley.

The Reds are now 16 points ahead – and one game less!
