Tecate, BC- The Mayor, Zulema Adams Pereyra, of the XXIII City Council of Tecate, attended the Ejido Luis Echeverría “El Hongo”, with the Mobile Unit against Breast and Cervical Cancer with the aim of early detection and awareness in women of the importance of self-examination to prevent breast and cervical cancer.
Yesterday, the cancer prevention and detection campaign was continued, in which menstrual kits were being delivered to the young attendees, thanks to the donation by the Tecate Intersectional Feminist Network and the Contigente Feminista Tecate, in order to to provide them with support for a dignified menstruation, they were also taken a glucose and blood pressure test, by the Secretary of Health of the State Government, in order to carry out a comprehensive clinical assessment.
The First Mayor, Zulema Adams, took a tour through the streets of Ejido Luis Echeverría, to personally invite women to attend the mobile unit and take advantage of this free service to benefit their health.
The event was attended by the Women for Women Civil Association, who will be in charge of providing follow-up in case of detecting any cancer, in addition to the assistance of Dr. Eva Guerrero from the Sanitary Jurisdiction 2.
During the prevention campaign, the authorities of the XXIII City Council of Tecate, Zulema Adams Pereyra, Municipal President ;, the Director of IMMUJER, Adriana Barrera Hernández, the Director of Well-being, Irene Moncada Cisneros; the Director of Rural Development, Jean Carlo Bautista Guzmán.
