Prigogine's participation in the negotiations of the Libyan Marshal and Shoigu is explained

Restaurateur Yevgeny Prigogine was in a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Libyan Marshal Khalifa Haftar, as he was involved in organizing an official dinner. This was reported to journalists by a military diplomatic source.

Moreover, according to him, Prigogine took part in the discussion on the cultural program of the visit of the Libyan delegation.

Earlier, the Libyan Defense Ministry published a video of a meeting in Moscow, Haftar and Shoigu. Prigogine has also been captured on the record.

Shoigu meeting with Haftar

Previously, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that during the Shoigu meeting with Haftar in Moscow discussed security issues in the Middle East and North Africa region, in addition to combating international terrorism and resolving the crisis situation in Libya.

In recent years, Marshal Haftar has repeatedly visited Moscow for meetings with the heads of the Russian Defense Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council.

Last January, Haftar visited the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. During a videoconference with Sergei Shoigu, he discussed the fight against terrorists in the Middle East. In addition, he was given a series of first aid medical preparations for Libyan soldiers and civilians.

The situation in Libya

Currently in Libya, double power. In the city of Tobruk, in the eastern part of the country, there is a parliament elected by the people, and to the west in the capital Tripoli, the government of national consensus, led by Faez al-Sarraj, which was formed with the support of the United Nations and Europe, the rules.

The eastern authorities operate independently from Tripoli, cooperating with the national army under the command of Marshal Haftar, who is conducting a long war with the Islamists.
