Qualia in Verviers: a gourmet restaurant at the small Peltzer castle

Behind Qualia, we find Pauline Fettweis and Mathieu Steenhault. “We had a restaurant in Liège, on rue Cathédrale. We wanted to leave Liège and bring us closer to Verviers, where we are from. Pauline’s godfather, who is an antique dealer, bought the small Château Peltzer. In the contract, we had to a Horeca establishment and he thought of us. We hardly changed anything at the place, which is magnificent, we just cleaned it up.” Qualia propose “A rather French and gastronomic cuisine. As there are only two of us, we only offer one menu, four or five courses. We only work with fresh, seasonal products, which are as regional as possible We change the menu every month to follow the seasons.”

The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime. With soon Thursdays and Fridays noon. “In all, there are twenty seats, including a large table for 6 or 8 people.”
