Hours after hisaired on "CBS This Morning" R. Kelly found himself where the authorities have said that it will remain until more than $ 161,000 will be allocated to child support payments. Kelly told King that he had about $ 350,000 left on his bank account.
"So many people stole my money, people were connected to my account." I went – I went alone for the first time in a Bank of America. I did not know what I was doing. the hell was going on, "he said.
Kelly argues that the first time he went alone in a Bank of America was about three weeks to a month ago. "Because I was so tired of not knowing where my money was, what my publication is."
Kelly admitted that a lot of not knowing his own financial situation is his fault, saying "a lot of things about me". To those who say they have no money because they had to pay so many settlements, they said: "Lying".
According to court documents, Kelly solved three lawsuits with women claiming to be underage when she had sex with them. But Kelly said that what really cost him is people who had access to his bank account, something he discovered from a bank teller.
"Because the songs I wrote, baby, I mean, you know, the songs I wrote are songs that can handle the settlements and everything else," Kelly said.
"I had, like, $ 350,000 in the bank and I told her 'look, take this, I'm about to start a new account'. And that's where it is, right? So she said," Ok, it will take six to seven working days to cancel. "Does it make sense?"
The day after the trip to the bank, Kelly was indicted for 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He said he was unable to access his bank account to make bail. Now, he's back in prison for the separate child care case. Something he became emotional during our interview.
"How can I pay child support? How ?! If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can not work? How can I work? How can I be paid? How can I take care of my children? he said in tears.
Kelly's ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, said he mistreated her. Kelly said it's a lie.
"Thirteen years old I'm married … I flew in a helicopter, I got on a helicopter," Kelly said.
"I think I tell you everything, I'll tell you everything … I flew in a helicopter with a damn puppy and I suggested to Drea who I was in love with and said," Hey, look, I'm making mistakes, I'm not perfect. " … We got married, ok, we had three beautiful children … I never had a domestic violence call at home and all this and the other, it never happened.
But in his life docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly", his ex-wife Andrea described a tumultuous and sometimes dangerous relationship.
"I went to the National Domestic Violence awareness hotline and there are 17 questions: there were only two things on that list that Robert had not done to me and it was when it became real to me, like" Drea, you were abused ", he said in the series.
"She's not telling the truth, I love her until I die, I know, I still have nothing against her, that's the mother of my children," Kelly said.
"I'm not disrespecting her by saying she's not telling the truth, I'm just honest … Someone sent me something on my phone and told me that I'm hogtied. I do not know how to hogtie people. children are listening to this, all this nonsense and I have not been able to spend time with them. This is real. This is not a lie, "he said in tears.
He continued, "What kind of woman would knock down a dad who is trying to have a relationship with their children? Do you know how many children need a relationship with their father?"
Kelly said that her relationship with her children is "zero".
"But I know that my children love me and I am in love with my children, I love my children".
In January, Kelly's eldest daughter, who is 20, wrote in an Instagram post that she and her siblings had not had a relationship with their father for years.
CBS News contacted Andrea Kelly for a commentary on R. Kelly's allegations, but her representatives said they did not have any statements at this time.
