Radeon RX 7900 XT Nitro OC L, a “lite” version of the Radeon RX 7900 XT Nitro Vapor-X

Sapphire is behind a change to make their high-end Radeon RX 7900 XT Nitro Vapor-X card less expensive. The manufacturer offers a new custom design called Nitro OC L

Elle allow to lower the price by $70 ($895 versus $966). At first glance the two cards look similar, but Sapphire has made some subtle changes. They touch on cooling features and lighting.

The “Nitro OC L” edition is equipped with a classic copper base and not the vapor chamber, which helps to reduce the cost of materials. Unfortunately this choice also decreases the cooling performance which probably explains a drop in GPU frequency from 2560 MHz (Vapor-X version) to 2450 MHz. We are thus faced with the performance of the Radeon RX 7900 XT PULSE model. Added to this is a dress with only one RGB strip. The second lighting zone on its underside is no longer present.

For the moment this Radeon RX 7900 XT Nitro OC L has not been announced on Western markets.
