Realme has revealed that the company will introduce the Realme GT Neo 5 in February. The manufacturer has also already shared the first details about the smartphone. For example, we know that the GT Neo 5 can fast charge with no less than 240W.
Of Realme GT Neo 5 is the first smartphone to use the 240W fast charger that Oppo introduced last year. The charger has an output of 10B and 24A and uses a custom charging cable with extra thick copper wires. The charger also has 13 sensors that monitor the temperature during charging and adjust the power when the temperature rises. The housing is fire resistant and uses graphene to keep the temperature down. The charger is likely to be able to charge the Realme GT Neo 5 from 0 to 100 percent in just 9 minutes.
The support for 240W fast charging has no impact on the battery life, according to Realme. In fact, Realme claims that the battery of the GT Neo 5 can handle a total of 1,600 charge cycles, compared to 800 for the average smartphone.
The Realme GT Neo 5 is also rumored to feature a 6.7-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 processor. Realme will introduce the GT Neo 5 at the MWC tech fair in Barcelona. This fair opens on February 27.
